Devoxx Day 2 La Scala Actors

The language La Scala was very represented this year in Devoxx with a session on the actors by Franck Sommers, other one on ScalaTest by Bill Venners or else that on the framework web Topspin by Timothy Perrett. This last unfortunately did not hold all his promises: the half of presentation was focused on the specificity of language and another part on already seen ChatDemo application there comet of David Pollack without real explanation of code, leaving as well as very few place for Topspin it even.

Devoxx Day 2 SOA there practices

Sessions devoted to SOA were still present this year in Devoxx. Nicolai Josuttis enlivened a called presentation "SOA IN PRACTICE" just like the book name the author of which he is, published to O' Reilly.

Session JavaFX was a chance to discover how to develop a JavaFX application. The presenter Stephen Chin, project manager of WidgetFX, offered us an introduction to the language of script JAVAFX.
Presentation seemed in my opinion more modest than presentations made the last year. The number of sessions JAVAFX is less important compared the previous year. Also no presentation in Keynote where Adobe seems to be put forward with its platform Flash.

Devoxx Day 1 NOSQL with HBASE

Devoxx Day 1 Kanban IN action

After a small coffee reanimating, here is already to come the first sessions of the edition 2009 Devoxx and, the subject of this article, Kanban IN action by Olav Maassen.

After a small recall on the origins of word (which there kanji means kan=visuel and ban=tableau, card, chip), the second slide gives the tone of this conference which will be interactive (several practical jobs over 3 h) with a first question: give some daily examples of system Kanban.
