The new version of Parleys

Stephen Janseen starts by explaining us what will give new version of Parleys.com. Free and available, the number of videos augments on servers, what is very expensive. To overcome this problem, he decided to publish as early as possible conferences of Devoxx (this weekend besides:-) ). And with a 49 subscription for 6 months, an user will be able is to download all videos which he wishes on the site is to look directly there at them streaming. For the most patient, the video will become public in streaming for all at the end of one year.
In this new version, he will be possible:

  • To define private channels or public according to the needs of the publieur,
  • To choose his look not feel,
  • To add comments on the video track.

These novelties are currently available on http://beta.parleys.com.

  • A keynote.
  • An university and one OH WELL JEE6.
  • An university and one OH WELL JSF 2.0.

The keynote of Adobe with in guest-star Flash Catalyst

Adobe was in honour this year following the example of JAVAFX. The keynote occasioned the editor to attract an operation seduction of the community Popular dance with announcements around FLEX, Air, Flash Player Lite and Flash Catalyst.

To begin, Flash Player 10.1 was introduced. This version was especially worked to work on mobile phone:

  • Reduction of used memory.
  • Limitation of the consumption of battery.
  • Management of the multi-touch and of the acc l rom tre.

introduced a Flash Player displayed on motive: yes, it is finally possible to achieve in Parleys since its motive!

The list of partnerships between Adobe and the producers of smartphone and of BONE has considerably augmented for last year. With, between others, the youngest child: RIM, the BONE of BlackBerry. Currently, Apple is still not part of this list. No agreement was found for the moment. It is not therefore possible to read a Flex application for example since the navigator of his iPhone. On the other hand, it is possible to display a Flex application on AppStore and to use it. Indeed, Adobe set one up allowing to convert a swf into native code for the iPhone. Games Flash are besides already available on AppStore.

Other announcement, the exit for some days of the b ta of Adobe Air 2.0. This version gives following novelties:

  • The support of the usb.
  • The support of the multi-touch.
  • Of new IPA - INTERNATIONAL PHONETIC ALPHABETS allowing to recover the exit of microphone.
  • A security improved to answer better the standards of firms and governments.

Our two presenters then impressed the room by accomplishing fast from a drawing coming from Illustrator a Flex application including effects, managing a click event on a button, and the most impressive of all, a management of a scrollbar coming from a drawing. This generation was then exported in Flash Builder 4 as plan Flex. The room seemed enticed by the d mo. Let us wait now for 2010, to see if this platform will hold its promises and if the community will continue following.
